Which Contract Management Tools Include an API? CLM API Access Compared (2026)
The short answer
Almost every serious contract management (CLM) platform now has an API. The differences that matter are which plan you need to use it, whether the vendor offers an MCP server for AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT, and whether it sends webhooks when something changes.
We checked each vendor's own pricing pages and developer documentation on 1 October 2026. Bind is our product, and it appears in the comparison with the same three questions as everyone else, including the two where it is behind.
- API on the entry plan
- Bind (every plan), Oneflow (its paid plans start with Business)
- API on a top tier or extra purchase
- Juro, Concord, ContractSafe, Agiloft (older editions), DocuSign CLM, PandaDoc (separate API plans)
- Plan not stated publicly
- Ironclad, SpotDraft, Conga
- MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT
- Ironclad, DocuSign, PandaDoc, Juro, Concord
- Bind's gaps
- No public MCP server and no webhooks yet
CLM API access by vendor
Vendors are in alphabetical order. "Not found" means we looked on the vendor's public pages and did not see it; it does not mean the vendor confirmed it is missing.

|---|---|---|---|
| Agiloft | Platform edition, or Advanced and Premium | Not found | Not found |
| Bind | Every plan, including Starter | No | No |
| Concord | Enterprise ($1,299/month, annual) | Yes | Yes |
| ContractSafe | Maximize tier | Not found | Not found |
| DocuSign CLM | Contact DocuSign Sales | Yes (DocuSign) | Not checked |
| Ironclad | Not stated on pricing page | Yes, read-only | Yes |
| Juro | Enterprise | Yes (Growth, Enterprise) | Yes |
| Oneflow | Business and Enterprise | Not found | Yes |
| PandaDoc | Separate API plans, from $0 | Yes | Yes |
| SpotDraft | Not published | Announced | Yes |

Vendor notes and sources
Agiloft
Agiloft's help centre says: "API services are available with the new Platform edition of Agiloft, but on older editions, they require either an Advanced or Premium edition of Agiloft" (Agiloft help). Authentication is OAuth 2.0. Agiloft uses MCP internally for its in-app Ask AI feature; we did not find an external connector for Claude or ChatGPT.
Bind
The Bind API, a REST API with public documentation, is included on every plan, Starter, Business and Enterprise, at no extra cost. The documentation and an OpenAPI specification are public at help.bindlegal.com/developers. Each connected system is its own API client with Read or Read and write access to specific spaces only, keys can expire and be revoked instantly, and there are separate EU and US hosts. Version 1 covers listing spaces and fields, listing and reading documents with their fields and status, uploading documents, updating titles and manual fields, and download links.
Where Bind is behind: it has no public MCP server and no webhooks yet, so AI tools connect through the REST API and integrations poll for changes. Bind integrates natively with Salesforce.
Concord
Concord's pricing page lists "Open API" among the features of its Enterprise plan, at $1,299 per month paid annually with five users included. Concord publishes an OpenAPI 3.1 specification and supports webhooks. Its MCP server works with Claude and ChatGPT; Concord's help centre says it needs an AI-enabled plan and must be enabled by your customer success manager.
ContractSafe
ContractSafe's pricing page lists APIs on its top tier: Maximize includes "Everything in Finalize +" APIs. Its support page describes key-and-secret authentication. We did not find webhooks or an MCP server.
DocuSign CLM
DocuSign's CLM API documentation says: "Developing with the CLM API is only available for CLM customers with a production account. To purchase a plan to gain access to the CLM API, contact Docusign Sales." Separately, DocuSign runs an MCP server for its platform with connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and other AI clients. We did not check CLM-specific webhooks.
Ironclad
Ironclad publishes REST API documentation at developer.ironcladapp.com, with OAuth 2.0, webhooks and published rate limits. Its pricing page does not tie the API to a plan; its FAQ says some integrations are complimentary and some are add-ons. Ironclad's MCP server is described as "read-only, supporting search only and never creating, editing, or deleting data", with Claude, ChatGPT, Slackbot and Legora as the officially supported clients.
Juro
Juro's REST API and webhooks page lists the Juro plan as Enterprise, and its FAQ says Enterprise plans include Salesforce, REST API and webhooks. Juro's Claude integration, which uses MCP, is listed for the Growth and Enterprise plans.
Oneflow
Oneflow's pricing page lists "API access" on its Business plan (from €50 per user per month, billed annually) and Enterprise plan, and Oneflow supports webhooks. Business is Oneflow's entry paid plan, so its API is broadly available too. We did not find an MCP server.
PandaDoc
PandaDoc prices its API separately from its app plans. Its API pricing page lists a Free plan (60 documents a year, a full sandbox), an API Developer Plan at $40 a month after a 14-day trial, and a custom Enterprise plan. PandaDoc supports webhooks and publishes an MCP server for Claude, and the Free plan lists creating and managing documents from Claude or ChatGPT. PandaDoc's developer documentation describes production keys differently from its pricing page, so confirm with PandaDoc which plan you need.
SpotDraft
SpotDraft's developer portal documents a REST API with webhooks and a rate limit of 10 requests per second per workspace, and describes API access as a workspace capability without naming a plan. SpotDraft has announced MCP support for Claude; we did not find its plan or status.
We could not find public plan information for Conga CLM, Icertis, LinkSquares, Sirion or ContractWorks; Sirion's documentation and ContractWorks' API datasheet require a login or a lead form.
How to read this table
The plan question is the one that bites. An API that exists only on an enterprise tier means integration is a budget conversation, not a technical one. If the CRM sync, the data warehouse feed or the AI agent you have in mind is the reason you are buying a CLM, confirm in writing that the plan you are quoted includes the API, and ask about request limits. Juro's API documentation, for example, says request limits depend on whether API and webhooks are included in your order form.
MCP is becoming the way AI tools connect. The Model Context Protocol lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI clients use a system's tools directly. Five of the vendors above already publish one, and some limit it, Ironclad's to read-only search. If your team works in Claude or ChatGPT every day, an MCP server is a real convenience. Without one, any AI agent that can make HTTP requests can still use a REST API, especially one with an OpenAPI specification.
Webhooks matter for real-time flows. If another system must react within seconds of a contract being signed, you want webhooks. For most contract flows, where status changes over days, checking on a schedule is enough.
Permissions matter more once agents are involved. Whatever the vendor, ask whether a key can be limited to specific folders, whether it can be read only, and whether each integration gets its own identity. Our guide to giving an AI agent access to your contracts covers why.
How to do this in Bind
Bind's API is on every plan, at no extra cost, so the connection you plan on Starter is the same one you keep on Enterprise. Here is what an integration looks like from Bind's side: another system files a contract into the space it was granted, sets a field, and cannot reach any other space.
Setting it up takes a few minutes for an organisation admin:
- Create an API client. In Organization settings → API access → New API client, name it after the system or agent that will use it.
- Grant spaces. Choose the spaces it may use and Read or Read and write for each. Requests for any other space return 404.
- Create a key. Pick an expiry (never, 30, 90 or 365 days). The key is shown once and starts with
bind_eu_orbind_us_for your region. - Connect. Your system or agent reads the OpenAPI specification and calls
rest-api.app.bindlegal.com(EU) orrest-api.us.bindlegal.com(US).
For the bigger picture, Aku Pöllänen, Bind's CEO, explains how Bind handles contracts from draft to signature:
Bind itself is ISO 27001 certified, SOC 2 Type I compliant, and GDPR compliant. It is used by in-house legal teams at companies including Atria, listed on Nasdaq Helsinki, and Outdoor Holding, listed on Nasdaq in the US.

Frequently asked questions
- Does Ironclad have an API?
- Yes. Ironclad publishes REST API documentation at developer.ironcladapp.com, using OAuth 2.0, with webhooks and per-endpoint rate limits. Ironclad's pricing page does not say which plans include the API; its FAQ says some integrations are complimentary and some are add-ons. Ironclad also offers an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Slackbot and Legora, which its support page describes as read-only, supporting search only.
- Does PandaDoc have an API?
- Yes. PandaDoc sells API access through separate API plans on its developer pricing page: a free plan limited to 60 documents a year, an API Developer Plan at $40 a month after a free trial, and a custom Enterprise plan. It also publishes an MCP server and webhooks. Check PandaDoc's current pages, because its developer documentation and pricing page describe production access differently.
- Does DocuSign CLM have an API?
- Yes, but not for every customer. DocuSign's developer documentation says: 'Developing with the CLM API is only available for CLM customers with a production account. To purchase a plan to gain access to the CLM API, contact Docusign Sales.' DocuSign also runs an MCP server with connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and other AI clients.
- Does Juro have an API?
- Yes. Juro's REST API and webhooks integration page lists the Juro plan as Enterprise, and its FAQ says Enterprise plans include Salesforce, REST API and webhooks. Juro's Claude integration, which uses MCP, is listed for its Growth and Enterprise plans.
- Which contract management software includes an API on every plan?
- Among the vendors we checked on 1 October 2026, Bind includes the Bind API on every plan, including Starter, at no extra cost. Oneflow includes API access on its Business and Enterprise plans. Concord lists Open API on its Enterprise plan, Juro lists its REST API for Enterprise, ContractSafe on its Maximize tier, Agiloft on its Platform edition or Advanced and Premium editions, and DocuSign CLM asks customers to contact sales.
- Which CLMs have an MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT?
- As of 1 October 2026, Ironclad, DocuSign, PandaDoc, Juro and Concord publish MCP servers or connectors that work with Claude and, in most cases, ChatGPT. SpotDraft has announced one. Bind does not have a public MCP server; AI agents connect to Bind through its REST API and OpenAPI specification instead.
Bind is trusted by legal teams across Europe and the US
