Terms of Service
Last updated 2nd September 2025
The Service ("Bind") refers to the Bind internet service, available at https://bind.aatos.app.
The Service Provider ("Service Provider" or "We") is Aatos Legal Technology Oy (2901500-3).
The term User ("User" or "You") refers to any individual, company, organization, or other legal entity that uses the Service Provider's service.
The Terms of Use (“The Terms”) take effect when the user signs up to use the service. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Bind.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Finland, with the Helsinki District Court (Finnish: Helsingin käräjäoikeus) serving as the court of first instance. Please note that if you are a consumer, you cannot be deprived of the mandatory rights granted to you under the consumer legislation applicable in your country of residence.
We may update our Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or the law. We have the right to unilaterally and without prior notice make changes to the Terms. Changes take effect immediately. If we make changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website or app. Your continued use of Bind after changes are made means you accept the updated Terms.
The Service Provider also has the right to transfer agreements under these Terms to a third party.
Service
Bind is an app designed to help you create and manage contracts in a user-friendly way. By using Bind, you agree to follow these Terms of Service ("Terms"). You must accept these Terms in order to use Bind. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Bind.
You agree to use Bind responsibly and lawfully. You must not use Bind to create contracts that violate applicable laws or infringe upon any third-party rights.
Bind is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not make any promises about the reliability or accuracy of the service. We are not responsible for any damages resulting from your use of Bind, including any contracts you create.
Bind provides general legal information and productivity tools. It does not assess suitability for your specific use case, jurisdiction, or circumstances. For tailored advice, you must consult a licensed lawyer.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
Bind may provide access to features that use artificial intelligence (“AI”). These features can assist you with drafting or editing contracts using templates, language suggestions, and similar functionality.
AI outputs are automated suggestions only. They are not “personalised” or tailored. They do not constitute legal advice. You remain solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated text.
The AI does not apply the law to your situation, verify compliance, or recommend actions. It provides draft text under your direction for your review and decision.
Bind is productivity software—comparable to “Google Docs for contracts”—and is not an alternative to hiring a lawyer.
Legal disclaimer
BIND IS NOT AN ATTORNEY. BIND IS NOT A LAW FIRM. BIND DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE AND DOES NOT REPRESENT YOU IN COURT. TALK TO YOUR ATTORNEY.
Bind is not an attorney or a law firm. Nor is it a substitute for an attorney or law firm. We do not provide legal advice, nor do we practice law. This site only contains legal information, not legal advice. This site does not create an attorney-client relationship. We provide no guarantee regarding case outcomes nor are we liable for any case outcomes.
Customer support may assist with using the platform, but it is general in nature and not legal advice.
Bind is a self-help tool that offers templates, suggestions, and other resources to help you create contracts. We do not guarantee that the contracts you create will be legally binding or enforceable in your jurisdiction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bind and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of Bind.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bind, its employees, and affiliates from any claims or damages (including legal fees) arising out of your use of Bind or violation of these Terms.
Users
The Service Provider is not responsible for any third party gaining access to the User's credentials or any actions performed using the user ID. The User must immediately report to the Service Provider if their username or password or other login method is compromised is lost or account is accessed by a third party.
Intellectual property rights owned by the Service Provider are not transferred to the User. Users may not download copyrighted service materials or any other illegal content unless they have permission from the copyright owner.
Direct marketing
By using the service, the User agrees to receive direct marketing messages. The User can easily and free of charge opt out of direct marketing.
Customer-based direct marketing is sent to the email address associated with the User's account. The Service Provider sends service-related messages and customer benefits via email. Customer benefits may include free or discounted offers. These messages are sent to registered Users who have provided an email address upon starting the service. The content of these messages always relates to services similar to those the User is already using.
Users can opt out of these messages directly via a link in the email or by contacting customer support (support@bindlegal.com).
Information collection
The Service Provider collects information in accordance with its privacy policy.
Price and payment
The Service includes certain free features available to all Users. Other features require an active subscription, which is provided under different subscription plans. The subscription grants access to specific features included in the chosen plan and for the chosen subscription period.
The subscription fee is automatically charged on the first day of each billing period according to the selected plan. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the subscription period. If a payment fails, additional attempts may be made to process the payment. The Service Provider may choose to restrict access to the service until payment is completed.
The payment provider is Stripe, Inc. and its payment terms apply.
Termination of subscription
Users can cancel their subscription at any time via their account settings. The subscription remains active until the end of the current subscription period. No refunds will be issued for already paid subscriptions. The Service Provider reserves the right to change subscription prices, included/excluded products and services, or other service terms. Users will be notified of significant changes and may have the option to cancel before such changes take effect.
Right of withdrawal
Digital content delivery begins immediately. I agree that my free cancellation right terminates at the moment the digital content delivery commences.
Complaints
Users must immediately contact the Service Provider regarding any errors or deficiencies related to the service they have purchased. Complaints should be made as soon as the User notices or reasonably should have noticed the issue. Complaints can be submitted via email to support@bindlegal.com.
Disputes
If a problem arises, the User should contact the Service Provider (support@bindlegal.com). If a dispute regarding the Terms cannot be resolved through negotiation, it will be settled in a general court of law, with the Helsinki District Court as the first instance.
If the user is an EU resident, both the User and Service Provider have the right to use the EU Commission's ODR platform to resolve disputes. Users may also refer disputes to the Consumer Agency or other equivalent out-of-court institutions in their country of residence (such as the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board).
